| Robin Hood
Television Series. Robin Hood has been depicted in a few televisions
series. The first was The Adventures of Robin Hood, staring Richard
Greene in the lead role. Others followed. Robin of Sherwood was the
next, followed in the 90's by the New Adventures of Robin Hood. |
| Each show was
different. The Adventures of Robin Hood is an old series, which aired
from 1955-1957. It is in black and white, and filmed in authentic
settings, from London to Sherwood Forest. That made it different from
the shows of that era. |
| Robin of
Sherwood came into being in the 80's. It also used some authentic
settings, and the creator was true to the medieval times. Nothing went
into RoS that wouldn't have also been seen during that time period. |
| The New
Adventures of Robin Hood was an altogether different type of show.
Taking its cue from the popularity of Hercules and Xena, it was more
modern in view and colorful to the eye. New tales of Mongols and
Vikings went into its first season, with the last season (not aired
yet in its entirety), telling tales of giants and wizards |

Synopsis: England
1191. When King Richard the Lion-Hearted sets forth for the crusades
in the Holy Land, he presents the regency of the kingdom to his
trusted friend, Longchamps, and angers his brother, Prince John. While
visiting Austria, Richard is seized by Prince John Escourt, Sir
Leopold, and held captive in Vienna. Assuming control of Nottingham,
the evil Norman Prince John, heavily burdens the Saxons with taxes –
pay of suffer cruel consequences. Appalled by the Norman mistreatement
of Saxons, Sir Robin of Locksley opposes Prince john and finds himself
declared a wanted outlaw (Robin Hood). Retreating to the Gallows Oak
in Sherwood Forest, he organizes a small band of free-born Englishmen
(the Merry men). All adventure filled stories relate their attempts to
usurp Prince John and restore the throne to it’s rightful king,

1195, the noble Enrico of Nottingham, proposition the name of Robin

| Synopsis:
Though the story told in Robin & Marian is unfamiliar to most
audiences, it is actually quite faithful to several of the ancient
Robin Hood legends. During the Crusades, Robin (Sean Connery) is still
loyal to King Richard the Lionhearted (Richard Harris), but even he
has trouble adjusting to the monarch's ever-increasing paranoia and
lunacy. After Richard's death, Robin returns to England, his first
visit to his home turf in 20 years. He looks up his beloved Maid
Marian (Audrey Hepburn, last seen in 1967's Wait Until Dark), who is
now a middle-aged nun. No sooner do Robin and Marian renew their
relationship than the aging Merrie Men demand Robin's services in
thwarting their old foe, the Sheriff of Nottingham (Robert Shaw).
Marian is aghast that the long-standing feud between Robin and the
Sheriff threatens to expand into wholesale bloodshed. The two
venerable enemies agree to one last mano-y-mano battle -- only to
watch helplessly as the all-out war they'd tried to avoid commences
anyway. Both the tragic climax and Robin's last, defiant arrow shot
are drawn directly from authentic Robin Hood ballads of the 14th and
15th centuries. |

The Power of
Albion Robert of
Huntingdon has been living in the forest with the Outlaws, leading
them as they return to their old ways. When Robert is badly wounded in
a raid Marion is sent for in order to offer her medical expertise. On
her return to Leaford she is arrested by the Sheriff of Nottingham. He
is anxious to prove the identity of the band's new leader - being
referred to as Robin Hood. The Sheriff also confiscates Albion from
Marion. Robert of Huntingdon enters Nottingham in an attempt to dupe

Cromm Cruac
Much has been wounded in a forester's trap. His wound becomes infected
and he is very ill. The Outlaws are miles away from any of their known
safe villages, but happen across a kindly carter who offers to take
them to his village Cromm Cruac. However, Gulnar - formerly the sooth-sayer
to Owen of Clun, is not far away and has an old score to settle...
The Betrayal The
Sheriffís incompetence has brought the King himself to Nottingham to
collect his taxes. With him he brings Roger de Carnac, a ruthless man
who devises a clever plan to destroy Robin's reputation and deal with
the Outlaws once and for all. Coinciding with the King's visit, there
seems to be a spate of attacks and pillaging in the villages
surrounding Nottingham. Could they be connected?
Adam Bell Much is
captured by the Sheriff who threatens to hang him. Then Adam Bell, an
ageing outlaw, kidnaps Martin, the Sheriff's nephew. The Sheriff seems
desperate to get his nephew back and with Much in prison he has
something to bargain with.
The Pretender
A noble young man, rescued by Robin from the Duke of
Gloucester's soldiers, wants to join his band. The powerful Duke and
