| Synopsis:
The story is set on an Island during the times of the British
Empire. A British Officer looses his daughter after she was
kidnapped by an Island cult near India. Fifteen years later he
returns to destroy a village with knowing that his daughter is the
priestess of this village. A local man who is a great Snake hunter
saves the girl from a snake and falls in love with her. The girl get
captured by the islanders and ordered to kill the officer "her

| Synopsis: Set
in the 16th century, the film casts Flynn as a British naval officer
unjustly condemned for desertion. He escapes punishment and joins
Anthony Quinn's pirate band, wherein he and Quinn vie for the
attentions of glamorous female buccaneer Maureen O'Hara. Flynn incurs
O'Hara's wrath when he rescues a lovely middle-eastern princess (Alice
Kelley) from slave traders, but O'Hara still comes to Flynn's aid when
he is left to die by Quinn. Flynn and O'Hara team up to thwart Quinn's
evil schemes, whereupon it is revealed that Flynn's "disgrace" was a
ruse, concocted by the British government to stem pirate activities in
Madagascar. |

Sam Katzman costume quickie stars Sterling Hayden as 17th-century
privateer Kit Gerardo, and (inevitably in a buccaneer meller of this
sort) Rhonda Fleming as a gorgeous female pirate named Rouge. When
Rouge's vessel is besieged by the minions of evil Caribbean governor
Luis del Toro (John Sutton), Gerardo comes to her rescue. As the
film unfolds, it turns out that practically no one is who they seem
to be--especially the mysterious Rouge. Producer Katzman cannily
fleshes out the film with miles of stock footage from earlier pirate
epics. Apparently contemptuous of his role, Sterling Hayden delivers
an uncharacteristically awful performance, but Rhonda Fleming makes
the whole enterprise worthwhile. |
