Country of Origin: USA Year of Production: 1956 Running Times: 1 reel [approx 7 mins] Format: Technicolor 35mm Ratio: 1.37:1 Sound: mono CREDITS PRODUCTION Production Company: Warner Brother SCRIPT Story: Michael Maltese DIRECTION Director: Chuck Jones (real name: Charles M. Jones) ANIMATION Animation: Richard Thompson, Ken Harris, Abe Levitow, Ben Washam Effects Animation: Harry Love Layouts: Maurice Noble Backgrounds: Philip De Guard MUSIC Musical Director: Milt Franklyn Music: Carl Stalling SOUND Sound Effects: Treg Brown [credited as editor] VOICES Mel Blanc [Bugs Bunny / Daffy Duck / Hassan] SUMMARY Bugs Bunny and an even more crotchety than ever Daffy Duck wage a war of wits with the none too bright guardian of Ali Baba's famous "open sesame" cave, the pair arriving there after taking the now legendary wrong turn at Albuquerque and not quite getting to Pismo Beach as they had originally intended. Daffy goes gold crazy when he sees the treasures held within while Bugs runs mental rings around the intellectually stunted Hassan, impersonating a genie, engaging in devastating verbal warfare and constantly winding up the little black duck. CAPSULE REVIEW One of Warner Brothers' very best with Daffy as irritating as you could wish for ["I can't help it, I'm a greedy slob. It's my hobby!"] and Bugs rarely as slick and confident as here. Add to this classic comedy double act a vengeful genie and the frighteningly dumb Hassan and you've got a seven minute masterpiece on your hands - the closing shot alone is worth the price of admission and Jones' consummate timing is as razor sharp as ever. best friend is a cunning thief who never speaks.
The two band together to overcome the evil vizier Zigzag
(Vincent Price) when he tries to seize power.

The Magic Carpet (1951) Synopsis: Directed by Lew Landers. Opportunistic princess Narah (Lucille Ball) aligns herself with the usurping Caliph of Bagdad (Gregory Gay) and his henchman Boreg (Raymond Burr). Meanwhile, the rightful heir to the throne, Caliph Ramoth (John Agar), is unaware of his birthright. Instead, as "The Scarlet Falcon," he robs the evil rich and gives to the deserving poor. He also falls in love with impulsive princess Lida (Patricia Medina), whom he rescues several times. Lucille Ball wears the usual Hollywood harem costume but her bare midriff is often hidden by props and furniture; that's because she was pregnant with her daughter Lucie Arnaz at the time.
